Born and raised in Hollywood, Morgan Gardiner is no stranger to the entertainment industry. She grew up visiting her father on film sets until she transitioned into working on them. She received a BFA in Film & Television at NYU Tisch, graduating in 2019 before returning to her home of Los Angeles. It was at NYU that she honed in on her skills in cinematography, making her own shorts and working as a camera assistant on upperclassmen projects, until eventually shooting her friends’ thesis films, while working on features as a digital utility on summer breaks.
Morgan now works as a full time cinematographer and camera operator. She just completed production as the DP on independent film ROCKBOTTOM, was the B Camera operator on the independent feature ONE TRUE LOVES and the Peacock streaming series THE BEST MAN: THE FINAL CHAPTERS. She was a 2022 Emerging Cinematographer Awards honoree for her short film “Molly Robber.” Additionally she has a passion for underwater cinematography and hopes to keep operating underwater.
